How to set up the remote control to work with more than one TiVo in the same room.  You will have to use both remotes but they will not interfere with each other.

2. Using the remote for the first TiVo, navigate to the System Information screen of the first TiVo and scroll down until you see "Remote Address."

3. Now hold down the PAUSE and TIVO buttons for 5 seconds, until the red LED on the remote lights up.

4. Using the number keys, enter any digit except 0 - we recommend 1. The remote LED will flash, but the screen will not update.

5. Go LEFT then RIGHT to exit and re-enter the System Information screen, and scroll down again. You should see the digit on-screen. You have now programmed both this remote and this TiVo to operate on channel "1".

7. Now cover the IR window of the first TiVo, and uncover the second TiVo. Using the second TiVo remote, navigate to the System Information screen of the second TiVo and scroll down until you see "Remote Address."

8. Now hold down the PAUSE and TIVO buttons for 5 seconds, until the red LED on the remote lights up.

9. Using the number keys, enter any digit except 0 or the digit you used for the first TiVo - we recommend 2. The remote LED will flash, but the screen will not update.

10. Go LEFT then RIGHT to exit and re-enter the System Information screen, and scroll down again. You should see the digit on-screen. You have now programmed both this remote and this TiVo to operate on channel "2".
