Here are a few pictures of the RCA Ultimate
TV from Microsoft. Two phillips screws hold the cover on
and there is no security seal. The cover lifts up from the
back. Upgrade info at the bottom...
Here is a front view of the RCA Ultimate TV
This
is an Ultimate TV on top of a TiVo, to get an idea of the size.
Here is a picture of the rear on the left
side. Inputs and outputs.
Here is a picture of the back, showing the
power connector on the right and the two satellite in
connections on the right.
Here is a picture of the back, in the
middle. Note the Printer Port, USB connector and VCR
control.
This is a top view of the Ultimate TV with the
cover off. Note the disk drive in the upper left side is
in a sheet metal box. No provision is made for a second
drive.
Look at the flexible heat sinks on 3 of the
chips. If you remove the heat sinks, all of these
chips say WebTV on them.
This is a picture with the disk drive moved
out of the way. It is held to the circuit board with 3
screws.
Here is the disk drive tray removed from the unit and the drive out of the tray.
And this is the disk drive. It is a Western Digital 45GB drive.
